In announcement news today, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has just officially set Olivia Wilde’s Don’t Worry Darling for release on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD on 11/19, with the Digital release expected on 10/25. Extras will include The Making of Don’t Worry Darling featurette and an Alice’s Nightmare deleted scene. We expect HDR10 high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos audio on the 4K release. While we’re on the topic of 4K, retail sources are telling us to expect David O. Russell’s Amsterdam (2022) to arrive on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K on 12/6 from 20th Century Studios.

Paramount should be releasing Parker Finn’s Smile (2022) on all formats on 12/13.

Paramount has also set Medieval for release on Blu-ray and DVD on 12/6, with the Digital release expected on 10/25. The Roman Empire action drama stars Ben Foster.

Retail sources are reporting again that Shudder will release Phil Tippett’s stop-motion animated masterpiece Mad God (2022) as a wide Blu-ray Steelbook edition on 12/6. We expect an official announcement soon.

For TV fans, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is releasing Dawson’s Creek: The Complete Series for the first time ever on Blu-ray on 12/13. You can already pre-order it here on Amazon.

Meanwhile, Imprint Films has announced the release of Lynne Littman’s post apocalyptic drama Testament (1983) on Blu-ray on 10/26. It’s limited to just 1500 copies. Extras will include audio commentary by Amanda Reyes, a second commentary by David J Moore, 2 featurettes (Testament at 20 and Testament: Nuclear Thoughts), a Timeline of the Nuclear Age, and the theatrical trailer.

Kino Lorber Studio Classics has revealed that it’s working on a 4K Ultra HD release of Sydney Pollack’s 3 Days of the Condor (1975) for release early in 2023. They’re also working on Jim McBride’s The Big Easy (1986) for Blu-ray in the coming months.

And here’s something interesting: Lionsgate is going to be releasing a new special edition of David Lowery’s The Green Knight (2021) on Blu-ray on 11/25, and the disc will include a new 20-minute short film by Lowery called The Oak Thorn & The Old Rose of Love. Finally today, here’s a blast from the past for Star Wars fans: Someone has scanned the original 70 mm film produced by ILM for use in Disney’s Star Tours theme park ride and upsampled it. So now you can watch it here on YouTube in up to 4K resolution...
