In announcement news, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has just listed The Expanse: Season 4 for release on Blu-ray Disc on 12/15. As fans know, the series is now an Amazon Prime exclusive and Season 5 is set to debut on the streaming service on 12/16. The series is available in 4K on Amazon Prime, but so far the discs are Blu-ray only. Extras on Season 4 will include 5 featurettes (Round Table Talks, A New World on Mars, It Reaches Out: ProtoMiller’s Point of View, Script to Screen: The Rocinate Landing, and Art Meets Science at Blue Origin). Also, Warner Bros. will release Bill & Ted Face the Music on Blu-ray and DVD on 11/10. There is no 4K release currently planned here in the States, however one is set for release in the UK (click here for a Zavvi US pre-order link). We still haven’t yet seen a press release, however.
And finally today, we’ve learned that Capelight in Germany has just released Richard Gray’s 2019 Braveheart semi-sequel Robert the Bruce in 4K Ultra HD. I reviewed the film on Blu-ray here at The Bits earlier this year. I think it’s actually quite good. But read the review before you buy the film, because it is very different in tone that the Gibson film. Angus MacFadyen returns as the title character, however, and he’s terrific. The film essentially takes place between the death of Wallace—as seen in Bravehert—and the final scene when the Scottish army charges the fields at Bannockburn.

All right, that’s all for this week. Don’t forget that National Geographic’s The Right Stuff dramatic series debuts today on Disney+. And the new natural history documentary David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet is now available in 4K on Netflix. I also just finished watching both seasons of The Boys on Amazon Prime, and let me tell you… it’s pretty damn good. It’s probably a little bloody and graphic for some, but it’s also very funny and smart dark comedy on the whole notion of superheroes. And Karl Urban is diabolically good in it.
