We’ve got a bunch of great title announcement news and “revels” to report today, so let’s get right to it...

First up, our friends at Kino Lorber Studio Classics have just revealed on their social media that they’re working on a new 4K Ultra HD release of Fred Dekker’s The Monster Squad (1987)! And we have street date: Look for it to arrive on 11/28, complete with a new 4K scan of the original camera negative with Dolby Vision HDR on a UHD-100 disc. The 3-disc set will also include the film remastered in 1080p HD on Blu-ray (which will also be available separately) and you’ll get a bonus disc with the Wolfman’s Got Nards (2018) documentary. Plus the set will include a ton of legacy special features. You can see the 4K cover artwork at left.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has also just revealed the Region A/US Blu-ray release of Ron Moore and Apple TV+’s fantastic alternate/near future science fiction series For All Mankind: Season One. Look for that to street on 11/14. Unfortunately, no 4K Ultra HD release is currently planned. Also, the cover artwork leaves a lot to be desired; it’s identical to the key art used on Dazzler’s UK release (which we reviewed here) but it shares nothing in common with the show’s actual logo or promotional artwork, causing a number of fans we’ve heard from to say it looks like a bootleg. In any case, it’s a great series—one of my favorites actually, along with Apple TV’s Foundation—and it’s great to finally have a legit US Blu-ray option. You can see the cover (with the Amazon pre-order link) below the break.

Sony has also just set FX’s Justified: City Primeval – Season One for release on Blu-ray and DVD on 11/14. And we’ve got that cover artwork for you below as well. [Read on here...]

Retail sources are also suggesting that Neill Blomkamp’s Gran Turismo (2023) is officially coming to Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD from Sony on 11/7.

Meanwhile, retail sources have pegged Ángel Manuel Soto’s Blue Beetle (2023) to street on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K UHD on 10/31 from Warner and DC Studios.

Paramount Pictures Home Entertainment has just set Josh Gordon and Will Speck’s Office Christmas Party (2016) for release on 4K Ultra HD on 12/5.

Universal Studios Home Entertainment (specifically Studio Distribution Services) has finally listed a wide-release 4K UHD version of Steven Spielberg’s Duel (1971) for pre-order on Amazon on 11/24, along with the 4K Collector’s Edition version listed previously.

Universal is also releasing a Best Buy-exclusive 4K Steelbook of Jurassic World: The Ultimate Collection, containing all six films in the series, on 10/31.

And speaking of Best But-exclusive 4K Steelbook box sets, Lionsgate is releasing The Twilight Saga, containing all five films, on 11/14.

While we’re talking Lionsgate, the company has set Christopher Cain’s Young Guns (1988) for 4K UHD release on 12/5.

They’ve also revealed their next Vestron Video Collector’s Series Blu-ray title to be Kathryn Bigelow’s Blue Steel on 11/14.

Here’s a whopper for you Doctor Who fans: BBC Home Entertainment is dropping a massive 58-disc/13-season Doctor Who: New Who Limited Collector’s Edition Blu-ray box set on 11/14! It will include all 13 seasons and specials, among them the Ninth, Tenth, Eleventh, Twelfth, and Thirteenth Doctor’s complete seasons, as well as the War Doctor and Fugitive Doctor—over 144 hours of content in all. What’s more: “For the ultimate fan, this collection includes every episode and special from the first four series freshly upscaled to high definition using the latest technology.” The package will also come with a set of 5 Titan mini figures, and a numbered certificate of authenticity. The SRP is $174.99, which boils down to just $3 per disc. Act fast if you want it, though, as it’s probably fairly limited (click here or on the image below to pre-order it)...

Not done quite yet... StudioCanal in the UK has just released Renny Harlin’s Cutthroat Island (1995) on 4K Ultra HD (on 9/18) and you can order it from Amazon US here or Amazon UK here.

Raro Video is releasing Bernardo Bertolucci’s The Conformist (1970) on Blu-ray on 11/18, mastered from a new 4K restoration of the film.

And finally today, all three of Criterion’s newly-announced December titles are now available for pre-order on Amazon, including Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio in 4K Ultra HD.

We’ll leave you today with a look at the cover artwork for a whole bunch of the titles I just mentioned, each with Amazon.com pre-order links (just click on the cover images)...

Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio (4K Ultra HD) Blast of Silence (Blu-ray Disc) The Red Balloon and Other Stories (Blu-ray Disc)

Duel (4K Ultra HD) Justified: City Primeval - Season 1 (Blu-ray Disc) For All Mankind: Season One (US Blu-ray Disc)
