We now have word that Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds (2009) is now likely a September or October 4K release from Universal. [Editor’s Note: Looks like this one is coming from Arrow as well, based on a postcard included with some of their recent Blu-ray releases.]

And here’s a shocker: A24 has finally just made Ari Aster’s Midsommar available on 4K Ultra HD here in the States. And here’s the kicker: It’s the 171-minute Director’s Cut and it appears to be available ONLY from their website (it’s currently listed as sold out, but will be restocked.) It’ll set you back $45 but it “comes enclosed in a clothbound, Hårga-yellow slipcase, accompanied by an illustrated 62-page booklet featuring original artworks from the film by Ragnar Persson and a foreword by Martin Scorsese.” The disc is expected to ship on 7/20. In other news, our friends at the 3-D Film Archive have just launched a Kickstarter to restore Mei-Chun Chang’s 1977 martial arts classic Dynasty (a.k.a. Qian dao wan li zhu) in 3-D. You can find that here.

And for you UK readers, Eureka! has just set Fruit Chan’s Made in Hong Kong (1997) for release on Blu-ray on September 21.

Finally, don’t forget that Disney is releasing their long-awaited film version of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s hit Broadway musical Hamilton on Disney+ today. So if you and your family have been looking forward to seeing it, now you all have something to watch over the holiday weekend.
