Note that there will also be a 5-Film Monsterverse 4K UHD Collector’s Edition coming this summer (street date TBA) that will include Godzilla (2014), Kong: Skull Island (2017), Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019), Godzilla vs. Kong (2021), and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024), along with a disc of special features including the new Directors of the Monsterverse featurette.

Warner Bros. and DC have also announced the 4K UHD and Blu-ray release of Jeff Wamester ‘s animated Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part Three on 7/23, with the Digital version expected on 7/16. Disc-based extras will include a pair of featurettes (A Multiverse of Inspiration and Jon and John: Stewart and Constantine), while the Digital SKU will add An Epic Challenge: Crisis in Comics and Animation. Kino Lorber Studio Classics has just finally set Don Siegel’s Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956) for release in 4K Ultra HD on 6/25. There will be lots of legacy extras, plus a pair of new commentaries including one with film historians Steve Mitchell and Nathaniel Thompson, and another with professor and film scholar Jason A. Ney.
Here’s a nice surprise: It appears that either Warner Bros. or Universal are releasing the Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso: The Complete Series on Blu-ray on 7/30! We don’t have cover artwork yet, but you can see the listing here on Amazon.
The BBC is releasing Doctor Who: Tom Baker Complete Season Four here in the States on Blu-ray on 7/9.
Mill Creek Entertainment has set Icons Unearthed: The Simpsons for release on 4-disc Blu-ray on 7/2, complete with all 6 episodes and 11 hours of unseen interviews.
And Vinegar Syndrome has set Lewis Teague’s Navy Seals (1990) for wide 4K Ultra HD release on 6/25.
Also today, if you pre-ordered Jonathan Demme’s Stop Making Sense in 4K Ultra HD from A24, it’s apparently now beginning to ship out to customers. We’ll definitely be posting an in-depth review of the disc here at The Bits as soon as we get our hands on it.
