In announcement news today (though it’s been available for pre-order for a while now), Fox has just officially set Deadpool for Blu-ray and DVD on 5/10 and announced details of the Blu-ray extras, will include audio commentary with director Tim Miller and Deadpool co-creator Rob Liefeld, a second commentary with Ryan Reynolds and writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, deleted and extended scenes with optional Miller commentary, a gag reel, the From Comics to Screen... to Screen documentary, galleries (of concept art, storyboards, costumes, pre-vis and “stunt-vis”), something called Deadpool’s Fun Snack, and more. The 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray version is also coming that day, and it will include the Blu-ray version (with these same extras) inside the packaging. Also today, Sony has just set The Mermaid (a.k.a. Mei ren yu) for Blu-ray and DVD release on 7/5, with a Digital HD release expected on 5/17. For those who may not know, this 2016 Stephen Chow-directed “science fiction/fantasy romantic comedy” is now China’s highest-grossing film of all time. Extras will include 2 featurettes (The Making of The Mermaid and The Mermaid: Behind the Scenes) and the Invincible music video. You can pre-order the Blu-ray version here...
As you can see, we also included the cover art for the new Steelbook Blu-ray versions of HBO’s Game of Thrones: Seasons 3 & 4 (with Dolby Atmos audio) that are due on 6/7.
