As promised, we’ve got another great new History, Legacy & Showmanship column from our own Michael Coate, this time featuring a look back at Michael Ritchie’s The Bad News Bears on its 40th anniversary. Michael details the film’s original theatrical release and offers a new interview with baseball historian and Walter Matthau biographer Rob Edelman. Also today, I suppose the big news is that Disney and Lucasfilm have released the first teaser trailer for the forthcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which arrives in theaters this December. Give it a look here...

In announcement news today, we’ve got word that, in addition to the Jaws sequels, Universal is bringing Kevin Hooks’ Black Dog (1998) to Blu-ray for the first time on 6/14. The film stars Patrick Swayze, Randy Travis, and Meat Loaf.

Also today, a number of recently announced titles are now available for pre-order on Amazon, including Star Trek: The Next Generation – The Complete Series (due 6/7), The Boy Who Cried Werewolf, The Return of the Living Dead, and Death Wish II (from Shout!/Scream), and Eddie the Eagle and Pride + Prejudice + Zombies on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray. You can see the cover artwork for all below (click to pre-order on Amazon.com)...

The Return of the Living Dead: Collector's Edition (Blu-ray Disc)    The Boy Who Cried Werewolf (Blu-ray Disc)    Death Wish II (Blu-ray Disc)

Star Trek: The Next Generation - The Complete Series (Blu-ray Disc)    Eddie the Eagle (4K UHD Blu-ray Disc)    Pride + Prejudice + Zombies (4K UHD Blu-ray Disc)
