We’ve got another Hell Plaza Oktoberfest review for you today from Dr. Jahnke, and this one is a bit of an oddball: a shot on Super 8, West German, dark comedy/gore fest about necrophilia. We’re speaking of course, about Jörg Buttgereit’s Nekromantik. Oh yeah... on Blu-ray. Do check it out.

The Hell Plaza Oktoberfest continues today as Dr. Jahnke wraps up his review look at Rob Zombie’s Halloween II on Blu-ray from Anchor Bay and Scream Factory’s Halloween: The Complete Collection box set.

Speaking of which, I’m told that a BD replacement program will be announced soon for the Halloween 4 disc in the set that has an audio sync problem. We’ll give you the details as soon as Anchor Bay and Scream make them official.   [Read on here…]

The big announcement news today is that Disney has officially set Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy for Blu-ray 3D Combo, Blu-ray Combo and DVD release on 12/9, with a digital release on 11/18. Extras on the Blu-ray versions are still vague based on the studio’s press release, but will include deleted scenes, audio commentary with the filmmakers, a number of “making of” featurettes, a gag reel, and an exclusive look at Marvel’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron.
