We’re closing out the week today with a pair of additional reviews. Tim has checked in with his Pick-Ups thoughts on Paramount’s Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse on Blu-ray and I’ve delivered my take on Sony’s new Ghostbusters release on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray. I’ll tell you this much: If Ghostbusters is representative of what we can expect from other classic film releases on the format, I can’t wait for more. Do give them a look. [Read on here…]

Merry Monday. We hope the weekend treated you all well.
Today’s is a quick update, as I was up late last night finishing my review of MGM’s SPECTRE on Blu-ray, which streets tomorrow. So my review of SPECTRE is, in fact, the first thing I wanted to mention here today. I’m a huge Bond fan and have really liked the Daniel Craig era thus far, but with SPECTRE I feel as if EON may have jumped the shark. What would the Bond equivalent be? Jumped the Thames, I suppose. Anyway, do check out the review, see what I mean, and let me know what you think on Facebook and Twitter (via the links above). [Read on here…]
Twilight Time’s May, June, July & August, plus new Fox Amazon exclusives & lunar eclipse tonight
All right, we’ve got a bunch release news for you today...
First though, we’ve got a new Blu-ray review from Dr. Jahnke for you this afternoon. It’s a newly-released Warner Archive title from 1970 directed by Donald Cammell and Nicolas Roeg, and starring Mick Jagger and James Fox – Performance. Do check it out.
My Star Trek: Enterprise – Season Four Blu-ray review will be up very soon. Sorry for the delay getting it posted, but there’s good reason. We have a special guest staying with us here this week: Sue Maxwell, the wife of our longtime (and dearly departed) Bits staff writer Barrie Maxwell. She’s been in town for the TCM Film Festival and now she’s visiting with us this week before returning home to Canada. So anyway, I appreciate your patience. And Sue sends her best to all of you!
