All right, there’s still not a ton of news to report so far this week. It’s Cyber Monday, which means most of the Blu-ray powers that be (and retailers) are focused on Cyber Monday sales. As such, if you would kindly use this link when shopping for Cyber Monday deals on Amazon.com, we’d surely appreciate it. It’ll go a long way toward helping us to continue our work here at The Bits and we thank you for the support.

Speaking of Amazon, Paramount’s Allied is now available for Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray pre-order (street date TBA). Also available for pre-order on Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray format is Warner’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. 20th Century Fox has Keeping Up with the Joneses coming on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray format as well. BBC Home Entertainment has set Planet Earth II for Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray pre-order too. Street dates are TBA, but you can click on the format links in this paragraph to pre-order.  [Read on here…]

In announcement news, Kino Lorber has revealed that it’s working on a new Blu-ray release of Delmer Daves’ Broken Arrow (1950). Street date is TBA.

Arrow Video USA is releasing its Psychomania: Special Edition on Blu-ray/DVD Combo on 2/21 (SRP $29.95).

FUNimation has confirmed the Blu-ray and DVD release of Speed Racer, Your Name, and Shin Godzilla, all TBA for next year.

And Gravitas Ventures has set Bakery in Brooklyn for Blu-ray and DVD release on 3/21.

In other news today, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story tickets are now on sale at theaters around the country. Act fast if you wish to make your way into those early Thursday (12/15) showings!

We’ve learned that Oppo is hoping to have its UDP-203 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player available as early as next month (though the release date is still tentative, as they want to make sure it’s ready) and certainly by Q1 2017. Rest assured, we WILL have a full in-depth review of this player as soon as it’s available, as we know that a LOT of you are waiting for the Oppo to finally make your dive into 4K.

Finally, we’d like to take a moment to acknowledge the passing of actor Ron Glass, best known for his work on Firefly and Barney Miller. Also, we’d like to honor the recent passing of The Brady Bunch’s Florence Henderson as well. You can read more here and here. Both will be missed.

Back tomorrow. Stay tuned...
