In announcement news, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has set Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 for release on Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD on 1/28.
Sony will also release Woody Allen’s Blue Jasmine on Blu-ray and DVD on 1/21.
Meanwhile, MGM is releasing a new Blu-ray edition of the classic Robocop, mastered from a new 4K transfer. Look for that on 1/21 (SRP $14.99). See the cover art below.
Well Go USA has set On the Job for Blu-ray and DVD release on 2/18.
Millennium has set 1: The Movie (a Formula One racing documentary narrated by Michael Fassbender) for release on Blu-ray and DVD on 1/28.
Image Entertainment will release Blind Date (1987) on Blu-ray on 1/14.
Eureka Entertainment in the U.K. has just announced a batch of great Blu-ray titles for Spring 2014 release for those of you there, or here in the States with all-region players. Among the newly announced titles are Computer Chess (2013 – 1/20), Wings (1927 – 1/27), Serpico (1973 – 2/14), Roma (1972 – 2/17), Hands Over the City (1963 – 3/14), White Dog (1982 – 3/24), Wake in Fright (1971 – due 3/31) and Nashville (1975 – TBD for May).
And finally, I know some of you have been waiting for this: Universal will release Riddick: The Complete Collection on Blu-ray Disc on 1/14 (SRP $49.99). It will include Riddick, Pitch Black, The Chronicles of Riddick and the animated The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury.
