Extras will include the 4-part Everything Must Go documentary (which includes Can I Have a Cigarette?, Finding Lee, A Hundred Films in One, and King of Nothing), along with 4 additional featurettes (The Character of Music, Crafted with Class, Colors of Madness, and Live! with Joker). The 4K SKUs will include Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos audio.
Speaking of Warner, here’s some news that will make some of you very happy: Francis Lawrence’s Constantine (2005) is officially coming to 4K Ultra HD, as we first reported here on The Bits way back in 2021 (that’s how long the studio has been planning a release of this film on the format—the delay has been tied to the long wait for its sequel, which is now in production). It’s listed for pre-order on Amazon UK (click here for the pre-order link) with a street date of 12/31/2025, which means it’s due sometime next year, just in time for the film’s 20th anniversary.
Here’s something cool: Sandpiper Pictures has set Ralph Bakshi’s animated Heavy Traffic (1973) for release on Blu-ray on 12/17. Also coming that day from Sandpiper are Michael A. Simpson’s Sleepaway Camp II: Unhappy Campers (1988) and Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland (1989), Stuart Rosenberg’s The Pope of Greenwich Village (1984), and Melville Shavelson’s Cast a Giant Shadow (1966). That’s in addition to Mulholland Falls (1996), River’s Edge (1986), and The Land That Time Forget (1974) Blu-rays, which we’ve mentioned previously are due the same day. I’ve included the artwork and pre-order links for a few of these below. I believe that none of them are new to the format, but a few may be out of print or otherwise hard to find at the moment.
And finally this morning, Screenbound Pictures is releasing Don Chaffey’s cult western Charlie One-Eye (1973) on Blu-ray in the UK on 11/22. That’s a Paramount title starring Richard Roundtree, by the way. And the Blu-ray is both affordable and Region Free.
Here’s a look at the cover artwork for the Blu-ray and 4K SKUs of Joker: Folie à Deux, the Amazon UK Constantine 4K (temp art obviously), as well as Heavy Traffic, some of the Sandpiper titles, and Charlie One-Eye on Blu-ray...
Back this afternoon with more! Stay tuned...
