Here’s something exciting: Our friends at Hammer Films in the UK are getting ready to release Brian Clemens’ Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter (1974) in a new 50th Anniversary Collector’s Edition 4K Ultra HD box set! The street date hasn’t been officially announced yet, but you can sign up for details here on their website. Expect this 5-disc set to be loaded with extras, including both newly-created and archival content. Here’s what the package looks like...

Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter (4K Ultra HD)

Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment and DC have just announced their animated Watchmen: Chapter II (2024) for release on Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD on 12/3 (with the Digital version due on 11/26). Extras will include a trio of featurettes (The Art of Adaptation: Building to the Final Act, Dave Gibbons and Watchmen: Chapters 7-12, and Designing Watchmen).

Kino Lorber Studio Classics has set Howard Hawks’ Hatari! (1962) for 4K UHD release on 12/10, followed by Mike Figgis’ Internal Affairs (1990) on 4K Ultra HD on 12/17.

Meanwhile, our friends at Turbine in Germany have just revealed a new 4K Ultra HD release of Gary J. Tunnicliffe’s Hellraiser: Judgment (2018) that’s coming on 11/7 exclusively on their website (click here). The 3-disc release will include both English and German Dolby Atmos mixes, and was produced in close collaboration with the director. It will offer newly-produced bonus material, as well as legacy extras.

And for you music fans, it appears that Mercury Studios is releasing yet another 4K Ultra HD concert title on 12/6: The Rolling Stones: Welcome to Shepherd’s Bush (1999).

In other news today, Kino Lorber has shared its new trailer for the 4K restoration of Andrei Tarkovsky’s The Sacrifice (1986) which is returning to theaters next week on 10/25. We suspect there’s a very good chance that physical Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD editions will follow in the coming months.

And finally today, we have some new Blu-ray and 4K UHD pre-orders that are available on Amazon.com. They include Sony’s Legends of the Fall (1994) and Talk of the Town (1942), Kino Lorber Studio Classics’ Snake Eyes (1998) and Below (2002), Cinedigm’s Terrifier 3 (2024), Warner’s Watchmen: Chapter II (2024), Sandpiper’s The Land That Time Forgot (1974), The River’s Edge (1986), and Mulholland Falls (1996). Here’s the cover art for each of them...

Below (4K Ultra HD) Watchmen: Chapter II (4K Ultra HD) Terrifier 3 (4K Ultra HD)

Also, Marvel and Disney’s Deadpool & Wolverine is finally available for pre-order on Amazon on Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD in at a rational price point. So click the format links to find those.

That’s all for now. Have a great weekend and we’ll see you back here on Monday.

Cheers, friends!
