The 4K disc will include both Dolby Vision HDR and HDR10, with audio in Dolby Atmos format. Extras on both the Blu-ray and 4K will include audio commentary with Leitch, Kelly McCormick & Zak Olkewicz, Outtakes & Bloopers, and 5 featurettes (Catch What You Missed: Easter Eggs, All Aboard the Pain Train: Stunts, Mission Accomplished: Making of Bullet Train, Trained Professionals: The Cast, and Select Stunt Previs). Meanwhile, Lionsgate has finally made their 4K Ultra HD release of Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs (1991) official for release on 11/15, in honor of the film’s 30th anniversary. Look for HDR10 high dynamic range, 5.1 Dolby TrueHD audio, and the following legacy special features: deleted scenes and 2 featurettes (Playing It Fast and Loose and Profiling Res Dogs). It appears that there will be a wide-release version and a Best Buy-exclusive Steelbook. The cover artwork for the wide-release version is available below.
Paramount has set William Brent Bell’s Orphan: First Kill for release on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital on 10/18.
And Crunchy Roll has just revealed their December 2022 Blu-ray release slate, which is set to include a Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation – Part 1 (regular and Limited Edition) and The Case Study of Vanitas: Season 1, Part 1 on 12/6, followed by the Banished from the Hero’s Party: I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside – The Complete Series (regular and Limited Edition), Black Clover: Season 3, and Deep Insanity: The Lost Child – Season One on 12/13, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Entertainment District Arc, My Hero Academia: Season 5, Part 2 (regular and Limited Edition), Requiem of the Rose King: Part 1, and Scarlet Nexus: Season 1, Part 2 on 12/20, and She Professed Herself a Pupil of the Wise Man: The Complete Season and Seven Days Wars on 12/27.
In other 4K news, retail sources are reporting that Universal will release Shrek 2 and Puss in Boots on 4K on 11/22. We’ve got cover art for the latter, which we’ve included below.
Also, BBC Earth is releasing the new 6-part nature documentary series Frozen Planet II on Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD in the UK on 10/17. The series is narrated by Sir David Attenborough.
And speaking of UK titles, StudioCanal has just released Jane Campion’s The Piano on 4K Ultra HD on 9/5. Per the Amazon.co.uk listing the tile the Blu-ray included in the package may be all region (but as always, caveat emptor applies). Do keep in mind that Criterion released this title on 4K here in the States back in January.

Two more items this afternoon... first, J. Michael Straczynski has reported on Twitter that the fate of the new Babylon 5 reboot series is going to be decided at the end of this month. So if you want it to happen, now is the time to let Warner Bros. know. Here’s the relevant information on Twitter.
And don’t forget that tonight at Midnight (Pacific) on Disney+, the new streaming series Star Wars: Andor has its 3-episode premiere. I’ve been hearing from Lucasfilm insiders for a while now that this show is the one to watch. It’s apparently more adult in its themes and storytelling, much more in line with the tone of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story than any of the live-action Star Wars series we’ve seen thus far. So if you’re a fan of that film, this series should be well worth your time.
