In announcement news today, Lionsgate and Starz have officially set Ash vs Evil Dead: The Complete Collection for release on Blu-ray and DVD on 10/16. The 6-disc set contains all three seasons plus extras, for $49.99 and $49.98, respectively.
Shout! Factory has just set The Sound of Music: Live for release on Blu-ray and DVD on 11/6. Extras will include audio commentary with Kara Tointon and Julian Ovenden, and a behind-the-scenes featurette.
Shout! has also officially announced The Man in the Iron Mask: 20th Anniversary Edition for release on Blu-ray on 10/9 as a Shout Select title. Extras will include a new 4K scan of the original camera negative, new interviews with producer Paul Hitchcock and production designer Anthony Pratt, audio commentary by writer/director Randall Wallace, 3 featurettes (Myth and The Musketeers, Director’s Take, and Original Behind-the-Scenes), a gallery of alternate mask prototypes, and the film’s theatrical trailer.
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has just set Teen Titans GO! to the Movies for Blu-ray and DVD release on 10/30, with the Digital release expected on 10/9.
And a quick follow-up on our Panic Room and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo 4K update from Monday: Press people representing Sony Pictures Home Entertainment are saying that Sony has no plans to release either film on 4K here in the States in 2019. And it appears that they are no longer available for pre-order on Best Buy. European retailers still indicate that the title if coming, however. As soon as we hear anything more, we’ll let you know. In the meantime, we’ve updated the 4K Ultra HD Release List here at The Bits to reflect the updated information.
