And while it’s not yet officially announced (we expect it to be very soon), we have near-final cover artwork below (from European retailers) for MGM’s long-awaited 007: The Daniel Craig 4K Collection which will include Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, and SPECTRE. Street date is 10/15.

Other titles now confirmed by retail sources to be coming to 4K (and Blu-ray and DVD for the new release titles) are Frozen and Maleficent from Disney (on 10/1 and 9/24 respectively), Angel Has Fallen from Lionsgate (TBA January 2020), Once Upon a Time in Hollywood from Sony (TBA December), and Terminator: Salvation (TBA October or November) and It: Chapter Two (TBA) from Warner Bros. We’ve updated our 4K Ultra HD Release List here at The Bits accordingly.

In other news, Vega Baby has set the alien contact film Encounter for release on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital on 10/1. It stars Like Hemsworth.

And finally today, a little big of a good news/bad news situation regarding Network’s Monty Python’s Flying Circus Norwegian Blu-ray Edition. The set had been set to street in October. It’s now been moved back to 4 November. But there’s a great reason for it: “The absolutely spiffing news, however, is that during the course of the restoration, just as we thought we’d seen everything, yet more cans of film material emerged from other quarters that could, frankly, have been anything. We’re still painstakingly going through every frame of the archive but have discovered a wealth of Python nuggets, a lot of it unseen. It would be impossible to include this material and still make the original release date but, it was an easy decision as not only is a lot of the material being seen for the first time, it is all being restored and presented in HD.” So that’s something. Meanwhile, here’s a new HD preview of a rare piece of animation from the series newly-restored from the original film...

And that’s all for now. Stay tuned!
