Sony has officially set After Earth for Blu-ray Combo and DVD release on 10/8. Extras on both will include 3 featurettes (A Father’s Legacy, 1,000 Years in 300 Seconds and The Nature of the Future) and the team video for the winners of the X-Prize/After Earth Robotics Challenge introduced by Jaden Smith. To this, the Blu-ray will exclusively add an alternate opening and 3 more featurettes (Building a World, Pre-Visualizing the Future and The Animatics of After Earth). You’ll find cover artwork below.
Heads-up for those of you who may be fans: Warner Home Video released Steven Spielberg Presents Tiny Toon Adventures: Volume 4 on DVD only yesterday (SRP $19.97).
20th Century Fox and DreamWorks have announced the 10/15 Blu-ray and DVD release of the Tony Award-winning Shrek the Musical. Extras will include a sing-along songbook and the From Swamp to Stage: The Making of Shrek the Musical featurette.
Image Entertainment and RLJ will reissue The Twilight Zone: The Complete Fifth Season on DVD on 9/3 (SRP $29.98).
Gaiam Vivendi Entertainment and A Squared Entertainment will release the animated Secret Millionaires Club: Volume Two on DVD on 9/10.
Gaiam Vivendi has also set the Rat Liotta thriller Suddenly for release on Blu-ray and DVD on 9/17 (SRP $19.97 and $14.93).
Lionsgate will release Bonnie & Clyde: Justified on DVD only on 11/5, along with Six Shooters and Killer Holiday.
The BBC has also revealed that the animated Doctor Who: Scream of the Shalka and Doctor Who: The Ice Warriors arrive on DVD on 9/17.
Finally, Starz and Anchor Bay Entertainment have set Magic City: The Complete Second Season for Blu-ray and DVD release on 11/5 (SRP $54.99 and $44.98). Extras will include 5 featurettes (The Gamble for Havana, The Criminal Element, Tales from the Underbelly, Magic City Style and The Music That Makes Magic).
