All right, we have more news for you today. But first, a review...

I did indeed post my thoughts on Zhang Yimou’s Shadow in 4K last night from Well Go USA, and darned if it isn’t pretty spectacular. It’s a slow burn study in contrasts and well worth your time. You can check it out here.

Now then, Universal has officially announced the Blu-ray, DVD, and Ultra HD release of Danny Boyle’s Yesterday on 9/24, with the Digital release expected on 9/10. The 4K will include HDR10 and HDR10+ high dynamic range, with Dolby Atmos audio. The Blu-ray will also include Dolby Atmos audio. Extras on both will include audio commentary with director Danny Boyle and writer/producer Richard Curtis, an alternate opening, an alternate ending, 12 deleted scenes, a gag reel, a 3-song Live at Abbey Road Studios session with Himesh Patel (performing Yesterday, I Want to Hold Your Hand, and Let it Be), and 6 featurettes (Ed Sheeran: From Stadium to Screen, Agent of Comedy: Kate McKinnon, A Talented Duo, Playing for Real, Soul Mates, and A Conversation with Richard & Ed). You can see the cover artwork at left and also below. [Read on here...]

Meanwhile, several new 4K titles are finally available for pre-order on Amazon.com, including Scarface (10/15), Hellboy (10/15), and Men in Black: International (9/2). Here’s a look at the cover artwork for those, plus Yesterday and more...

We have no word yet on HBO’s Deadwood: The Movie here in the States, but a DVD version at least is set for release in the UK on 10/7, which suggests that some kind of announcement may be forthcoming soon here too.

HBO has, however, set Chernobyl for release on Blu-ray and DVD on 10/1.

Speaking of the UK, Acorn Media has set A Discovery of Witches: Season One for release on Blu-ray and DVD on 10/29.

We mentioned this the other day, but BBC Home Entertainment will release Good Omens: Season One on Blu-ray and DVD on 11/5 (pictured above, though this is temp art).

On a different note, Gravitas Ventures is releasing the Harrison Ford-narrated documentary Armstrong on Blu-ray and DVD on 9/10.

And at last, all of Disney and Lucasfilm’s Star Wars re-issue Blu-rays are now available for pre-order on Amazon (street date 9/22), including A New Hope. Here’s the art and pre-order links...

And finally, here’s a better look at GKids and Shout’s forthcoming Spirited Away: Collector’s Edition, due on 11/12...

Spirited Away: Limited Edition (Blu-ray Disc)

That’s all for now. Stay tuned...
