Meanwhile today, Paramount has announced that they’re releasing Michael Mann’s Collateral in a new 4K Steelbook edition on 8/6, featuring all the same content as the previous 4K release.
A24 has begun taking pre-orders on their shop-exclusive Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD release of Jonathan Glazer’s The Zone of Interest (2023). Per their website, “extras include postcards with stills photography by Agata Gryzbowska and Kuba Kaminski, a short documentary on Aleksandra Bystroń-Kołodziejczyk, a recording of Sunbeams (written and performed by Joseph Wulf), and 32-minute making-of documentary Filming Zone, directed, edited & photographed by Filip Skrońc. Filming Zone can be watched with or without commentary by Production Designer Chris Oddy, Costume Designer Malgorzata Karpiuk, Director of Photography Łukasz Żal, and Editor Paul Watts.”

The Criterion Collection has unveiled a new Janus Contemporaries Blu-ray and DVD title for release on 10/22: Nuri Bilge Ceylan’s About Dry Grasses.
Mill Creek Entertainment has just released Ultraman Taiga: The Complete Series and the feature film Ultraman Taiga The Movie: New Generation Climax on Blu-ray. Each is available now.
Dark Arts Entertainment and MVD have announced the Blu-ray and DVD release of Jake Macpherson’s Terror Firma (2023) on 8/27.
Our friends at Celluloid Dreams have revealed that they’re working on a 4K and Blu-ray restoration of Paolo Cavara’s Black Belly of the Tarantula (1971) from the original camera negative. The films star Giancarlo Giannini, Barbara Bouchet, and Barbara Bach, and features music by the great Ennio Morricone.
Finally, Blue Underground has set Enzo G. Castellari’s High Crime for release on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD on 8/27. The 4K and Blu-ray will include 3 audio commentaries, 6 featurettes, an alternate ending, the theatrical trailer, and poster and still galleries.
And in other news today, this is well worth your time: Kino Lorber’s new episode of Shelf Space on YouTube features an hour-long conversation between Frank Tarzi—head of acquisitions for Kino Lorber Studio Classics and previously the man behind Olive Films—along with our old friend Eric D. Wilkinson of the MVD Rewind Collection. It’s a great chat and the pair teases a number forthcoming releases, including the ABC anthology series Darkroom on Blu-ray and Robert Greenwald’s Xanadu! (1980) on Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD from KLSC, as well as When the Bullet Hits the Bone (1996) and Cheerleaders Wild Weekend (1979) on Blu-ray along with a couple of yet-to-be-named 4K titles (one of which may be a Van Damme film) from MVD.
