Extras on the Blu-ray and Digital versions will include 9 behind-the-scenes featurettes (Solo: The Director & Cast Roundtable, Team Chewie, Kasdan on Kasdan, Remaking the Millennium Falcon, Escape from Corellia, The Train Heist, Becoming a Droid: L3-37, Scoundrels, Droids, Creatures and Cards: Welcome to Fort Ypso, and Into the Maelstrom: The Kessel Run). You’ll also get 8 deleted scenes (including Proxima’s Den, Corellian Foot Chase, Han Solo: Imperial Cadet, The Battle of Mimban: Extended, Han Versus Chewie: Extended, Snowball Fight!, Meet Dryden: Extended, and Coaxium Double-Cross), and a preview for the new Disney Galaxy’s Edge attraction called The Millennium Falcon: From Page to Park.
We assume there will also be the usual retail exclusives and exclusive packaging options. So far we know of Target REDCARD exclusive versions packaged with a 40-page gallery book, exclusive featurettes, and a metal model of the Millennium Falcon and Best Buy-exclusive Steelbook packaging. And again, the UK exclusive 3D SKU.
The Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D, and 4K SKUs are all available for pre-order now from Amazon.co.uk, but of course not on regular Amazon yet because of their endless pissing match with Hollywood.
You can see the cover artwork for this title above left and also below (we will add the regular Amazon links when they become available)...
Here’s the official home video trailer...
Also today, before we go, we’ve got a new Talking Blu installment for you to enjoy, part of our regular team-up with our friends at Midnight’s Edge. In this segment, our Tim takes a look at Don Coscarelli’s Beastmaster, available in a new Blu-ray edition from Umbrella Entertainment. Do check it out…
By the way, we once again encourage you all to follow Bits editor Bill Hunt on Twitter (@BillHuntBits), as that’s often where breaking BD/4K news likw thia gets posted first (before we get a news column formatted here). All are welcome!
All right, we’ll be back later with a new History, Legacy & Showmanship column from our own Michael Coate.
Stay tuned...
