Paramount has announced that Joe Dante’s Small Soldiers (1998) is coming to 4K Ultra HD Steelbook on 7/22, featuring Dolby Vision HDR.
Lionsgate has set Roger Spottiswoode’s Air America (1990) for 4K Ultra HD Steelbook release on 6/10, also with Dolby Vision HDR.
Meanwhile, Imprint has just announced their latest Imprint Television Blu-ray release, which is a TV Movie of the Week: Collection 3 box set that includes Stuart Rosenberg’s Fame is the Name of the Game (1966), Buzz Kulik’s Brian’s Song (1971), and Marvin J. Chomsky’s A Matter of Wife... and Death (1976). The street date is 6/25.
Powerhouse Films has just revealed their July slate of Indicator label titles, which is set to include Basil Dearden’s Saraband for Dead Lovers (1948) on both Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD, as well as Peter Yates’ The Dresser (1983), Alan Bridges’ The Hireling (1973), Franco Ziffirelli’s The Taming of the Shrew (1967), Adrian Edmondson’s Guest House Paradise (1999), Ken Loach’s Carla’s Song (1996), Paul Greengrass’ Resurrected (1989), Paul Mazursky’s Moscow on the Hudson (1984), Clive Rees’ The Blockhouse (1973), David Greene’s The People Next Door (1970), and Lewis Gilbert’s H.M.S. Defiant (1962) (aka Damn the Defiant!) all on 7/21.
Kino Lorber Studio Classics will release Edward L. Cahn’s Law and Order (1932) on Blu-ray on 6/17, a disc that will also include William Nigh’s Without Honor (1932). Law and Order is one of the earliest film depictions of the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral.
Also, a company called NCircle Entertainment is going to release the Netflix’s animated Sonic Prime: The Complete Series on Blu-ray Disc on 6/24.
And finally, it appears that in addition to their just-revealed Jurassic Park Trilogy: Limited Edition 4K Steelbook release on 6/17, Universal is also releasing a new Jurassic World Trilogy: Limited Edition 4K Steelbook release featuring Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World (2015), JA Bayona’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018), and Trevorrow’s Jurassic World Dominion (2022). All of these too are expected to include Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos audio.
