We’ve got some very fun announcement news for you guys today...

First up, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has set an 8-disc The Rodgers & Hammerstein Collection for Blu-ray release on 4/29! It will include State Fair, both the Todd-AO and Cinemascope versions of Oklahoma, Carousel, and The King and I, all of which are new to Blu-ray. In addition, the set will include The Sound of Music and both the theatrical and Extended Roadshow versions of South Pacific. SRP is $199.99, but Amazon has it available for pre-order for just $73.99 or 63% off. You’ll find the cover art and the Amazon pre-order link below.  [Read on here…]

Fox has also announced Once for Blu-ray release as an Amazon-exclusive title on 4/1, as we’ve reported before. In addition, though, Fox has set Notes on a Scandal for Amazon-exclusive BD release on 4/29 as well, followed by the wide BD release of The Deep End on 5/6 and both The Ringer and Kissing Jessica Stein on 6/3.

On top of that, Fox has just officially announced the Blu-ray release of a Norma Rae: 35th Anniversary Edition on 4/1, followed by Still Mine on 5/6.

Meanwhile, Warner Home Video has announced the 31-disc Harry Potter: The Hogwarts Collection box set for release on 4/29 (SRP $249.99 - this was first released on 2/25 but has until now been an Amazon-exclusive title). It includes all 8 films (including both the theatrical and extended cuts of films 1 and 2) on both Blu-ray and DVD. In terms of special features, there’s no new content but you do get all 45+ hours of previously released bonus material, including the complete Creating the World of Harry Potter documentary.

Universal has also set their recent remake of Endless Love for Blu-ray Combo and digital release on 5/27, including a making of featurette, an extended ending, and deleted and extended scenes.

Well Go USA Entertainment has set McCanick for Blu-ray and DVD release on 5/20. The film stars David Morse and was apparently Cory Monteith’s last film.

Finally, in TV news, Mama’s Family: The Complete Fourth Season arrives on DVD on 6/24 from StarVista Entertainment and Time Life (SRP $29.95).
