Speaking of Warner and 4K, we’ve been hearing from a number of Bits readers (who are part of the studio’s “A-List” community) that the studio has begun to survey them about the options they want to see on future 4K Ultra HD releases of The Lord of the Rings and Hobbit films in 4K. For example, which versions of the film, whether remastered BDs are desired, digital codes, features, etc. Thanks to the many Bits readers who have emailed to report this in the last week.

And Blue Underground has recently announced that they’re joining the 4K Ultra HD bandwagon with their first title on the format: Lucio Fulci’s Zombie (1979). Watch for that later this summer.

Finally today, Lionsgate has set The UnXplained: Season 1 for DVD only release on 3/24.
